Dear coaches,
I appreciate you taking your time to acknowledge me in your search for future college athletes. I am a very hard working and committed football player on and off the field. I work as hard as can in practice, and I have always shown my coaches that I am flexible and will do whatever it takes to start and support my team. I worked my butt off in the off season my freshman and sophomore years in order to gain a starting spot as the long snapper for the varsity football team. In the off season I gained weight and strength in order to become the starting center, long snapper, and back up defensive end for the varsity my junior year (which is my current season this year).
Not only am I working hard on the field but I am also working hard off the field, academically and physically. In the class room I succeed in my classes not settling for the average grades, I push myself to get the best grades I can manage, anything below a B is unacceptable in my mindset. I also maintain activity outside of practice, I have been attending early bird weight lifting for two and a half years now (Early bird weight lifting is a separate weight lifting session that happens an hour before school starts from 7 am - 8 am). I have improved my strength, speed and endurance by ten fold because of my commitment to weight lifting and speed development.
But not only am I committing to football, but I am also committing to a bunch of other extracurriculars that I excel in, such as... Marching Band (Drum line), Concert band, Choir, Jazz band, FFA, FCA, and Varsity Club. During the marching band season I attend early bird in the mornings and then go straight to early morning marching rehearsal. Over the summer I go to athletic enhancement Tuesday through Thursday, and then I would have band rehearsals once a week with a week of band camp and a week of football camp. For choir last year I made it into the district choir, but I was unable to attend since the date of the performance was the day of our state playoffs game.
In short summary, I am willing to do whatever it takes, I am willing to put my body on the line, I'm willing to sacrifice whatever I need to in order to improve, and I don't settle for second best, if I can make myself better I will. My coaches, teachers, parents, and friends can all see that I have a drive, when I want something, I will do whatever it takes to do just that.
Sincerely, Taylor Foster
