I have played the game I love since I was 7 years old, when I began playing Pop Warner tackle football in my home town of Needham, MA. I played all 7 years of pre-high-school football, and loved every minute of it. As a high school Freshman in 2018, I started as both X-receiver and Defensive End. I also started as D-pole as a Freshman for the Needham JV Lacrosse team. During my Sophomore year, I played starting Tight End on JV and played my share up on Varsity. My speed, size and versatility allowed my coach to program me in as a Tight End / Fullback hybrid, as I love to hit and can be dominant in the run-block game. My coach also regularly called on me as a D-end for goal-line packages.
After my Sophomore season ended, I was nominated by both my coaches and fellow players to serve as a representative of my class in the Needham Football Leadership Council. I was also recognized by Excel Sports Academy of New England as one of New England's top 10 Tight Ends/Y’s/H-Backs/Fullbacks for the classes of 2022 and 2023.
In the Winter of my Sophomore year, I was drafted onto Team Navy for Legacy 7v7 New England Football. Being 1 of only 3 Sophomores on a team of 24 players, I started at Outside Linebacker, and got consistent 1st downs as Receiver whenever the ball was thrown in my direction. I was then honored to be the only Sophomore in New England selected to join the Legacy 7v7 New England Elite Travel Team, which finished in 3rd place nationally in the finals tournament in Detroit, Michigan. During the tournament, I started at Middle Linebacker, and was consistent getting 1st downs as Receiver whenever thrown to. During our visit to Detroit, my team toured both the University of Michigan and Eastern Michigan University.
Strength and fitness are incredibly important to me. Since the Summer of 2019, I have worked out at Edge Performance Systems (EPS) in Foxborough MA. EPS trains mostly professional athletes, including many Patriots players like Julian Edleman, the McCourty twins, James Devlin and David Andrews.
My older brother Charlie is both a Quarterback and Punter at Bentley University in Waltham, MA, and his best friend plays Tight End at Duke University in NC. Growing up around these guys had a huge influence on me, and inspired me to want to play the game at the highest competitive level I can possibly attain. Watching their careers as they developed into college athletes has given me a clear sense of the level of discipline and commitment required to play football in college.
Through Middle School I was always an Honor Roll student. However, the transition into high school was challenging for me, and my Freshman year consisted of mostly B’s and C’s. By Sophomore year, I began to get a better lay of the land, and my grades started to improve. I again achieved Honor Roll in my 3rd and 4th terms (taking Honors and Accelerated level classes). I have set goals of both maintaining Honor Roll grades for the remainder of my high school career and dominating the Bay State conference as a football player. I am working tirelessly to achieve my dream of receiving a scholarship to play high-level football in college. I believe that I have the frame, the drive, the commitment and the talent to be successful both on the field and in the classroom at the college level. I can’t wait to earn the opportunity to play for a great college football program someday in the future!
