My name is Tim Delgado, and I am currently a Senior at Center Moriches High School, Long Island. I have played Varsity football since my sophomore year after I was moved up four games into my JV season. I played five games that year, the first three as a backup corner and the last two as a starting corner, and I also played on special teams. I am currently 5'7" and 175 lbs, Although I’m short to be a Wide Receiver, my speed makes up for it. This year on Varsity I was starting Wide Receiver, some times Corner, Middle Linebacker, and Outside Linebacker I'm also a Punt Returner and mostly on all Special Teams. I was named top 100 football players to watch on Long Island by News 12 , and top players to watch for 2017 by News-day, and also awarded 1st team All-County player. This season I had 28 receptions for 409 receiving yards and four touchdowns, our team went 5 and 3 and made playoffs, unfortunately we didn't win but definitely a great experience. Last year on Varsity I was 1st team All-Conference player, Starting Wide Receiver, Corner and on special teams. I had 23 receptions for over 490 receiving yards and eight touchdowns.
The other sports that I do are track, wrestling, and boxing. The events that I competed in for track were the 100m dash (11.55s), the 200m dash (23.8Os), the long Jump ( 20'3ft"), and the high jump (5'8ft). My sophomore year I broke my school record in the Pentathlon my first time trying it, that is 5 events done in 2 days that includes Long Jump, 110m Hurdles, High Jump, Shot-put and the 1500m, I made it to the State Qualifiers and got 2nd for small schools and 7th overall. Freshmen year my 4x100m team and I made it to States, although we didn't place but it was still a great experience. I have wrestled since 8th grade, then freshmen year i was starter on varsity and still a starter on varsity.
I am definitely a hard worker, always after practice I’m doing something extra to make my performance better. I’m not much of a celebrator when I score or get a good pass, after a play I always help my opponent up and show good sportsmanship. I was one of the 4 team captains this year and one of the 5 last year, as a junior because I’m was working hard and setting a good example for my peers. I tend to pick up things pretty fast. My goal is to play College Football at a good school, and hope to play slot receiver or just anything that would help the team.
