My name is James Sutherlin. I am 17 years old, 5'11" and 165lbs, from Erin, NY. I am enrolled as a senior at Spencer Van-Etten Highschool. I am in accelerated classes for the humanities and stem curriculums. I attend work out sessions after school with fellow classmates that also want to become stronger. I love taking advantage of every opportunity to progress my skills. I attend camps and combines to train and achieve better times. During both the off-season and the season, I work as hard as I can to be the best that I can be. I realize that there are others out there pushing themselves as hard as I am. This what motivates me to keep working hard. I love the running back position but more than that, I love being able to help my team and be used in any position that I am needed. I play QB, WR, RB and safety, I can play in any position I am placed.
Keeping my grades high is a goal that I shoot for because academic achievement is important to me. I always try to maintain an average of a 95 or higher. When I do not achieve that average I know that I am doing something wrong and realize that I must act accordingly to fix the mistakes I made. Good sportsmanship is an extremely important asset. Maintaining a good attitude on and off the field is a requirement for athletes to mature. I look forward to playing for a school where I can make a positive impact to the team and achieve my goals both on and off the field.
