My mom and dad were both college athletes, and I've always seen myself following in their footsteps. I joined the JV football team in seventh grade and have been on varsity since freshman year. I am contributing not only as a kicker but also as a defensive back and wide receiver. I was on the 1A state championship basketball team as a sophomore, which is not an experience most kids have. I also played soccer this fall and was able to balance between that, football, and school pretty successfully, receiving All-Conference Honors in soccer and Honorable Mention All-Conference as a kicker for football.
I would say my main goal is to go to a respectable college and earn a business degree as well as help the football team as a kicker any way I can. I know that my academics are just as important as my talents on the field. And I believe I have a good mindset to be a successful college kicker. I am willing to put my head down and work. And I can work within my role. I am confident in my abilities on the field but still humble. And I have a short term memory with kicking, so if I miss one it won't leak and turn into more. Additionally I am the sixth of seven kids so I know that earning myself an athletic scholarship would help my mother tremendously.
