Personal Statement

My name is Dustin Atchley. I am a 5’ 10’’, 195 lb rising senior who has a love for the sport of football. I have a burning desire to play at the next level, and the determination to get myself there. I have a work ethic that I have found to be unparalleled. I run a 4.53 forty, and have been a first team all-conference player for the past two years as a starter on varsity.
This past year, I began to accept a leadership role on the team. I was the first player on the practice field everyday, and made it a point to hustle in everything I did. There is no excuse for laziness. I have always dreamed, and made it my goal, to play at the next level, despite all the doubters. I have gotten up at 5:30 in the morning on weekdays, since my eighth grade year, for strength and conditioning training under Michael Greene. I decided I wanted to play at the collegiate level, then decided to do something about it. I am looking for a school that will push me to my full potential, and despises laziness as much as I do. I do whatever my coach asks of me, and never quit.
I am open to any and all schools that would like to contact me. I don’t yet have a preference on what type of college I would like to attend, and geographic location is not that important to me. My main goal is to play at the next level, and to make a difference on the team that I play on.
I don’t just work hard on the field and weight room, but also in the classroom. Grades will never be an issue, because I fully understand the importance of performance in the classroom, and know that the grades must come first. I have not yet decided on a major, but think I may want to go into engineering or some branch of science. However, this is subject to change.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
