My name is Cole Barish. I am a 6'3" 205 lb. former UPSL semi-pro soccer player who is pursuing opportunities to play college football.
I made the decision to leave soccer and focus on placekicking in 2024 as I suffered through a series of recurring hamstring injuries to my left (non-kicking) leg. I have recovered, and am currently training with Dan Orner Kicking & Punting in Charlotte, NC. I am inspired by kickers like Brandon Aubrey, Matt Gay, and William Ross who have gone on to kick at a high level in college and professional football without playing high school football.
While changing sports will be a challenge, I am extremely competitive and am confident I can make the change. I am a 2 time All State athlete and 2 time conference player of the year in soccer, and also earned all- conference honors in basketball in high school. I enjoy being part of a team environment and am willing to pay my dues and work hard to earn my opportunities.
Outside of my athletic background, I am a good student with a 4.3 GPA in high school and a 1200 SAT. I would like to study business in college and while I prefer schools in the southeastern US I am open to consider opportunities in other areas to pursue football at the next level.
Please reach out to me if you are interested, I would love to share more about my background and my interest in football.
Thanks,
Cole Barish
