I am a starter on both offense as a center and defense as a lineman. In my sophomore year I earned 2nd team All-District Defensive Lineman, and as a Junior I earned All-District 1st team Spread Center, Defensive Lineman, and Academic All-District. I was also selected by the coaching staff as MVP of the football program. I have a very strong work ethic and work well in a team setting. I continually seek improvement, I have attended multiple camps and practiced with private coaches to correct the imperfections I found, and I continue to develop skills, power, and speed that I will use to help my team improve.
I do very well academically, I am on the honor roll, and have a 3.98 GPA. I am a member of the National Honor Society and a former member of the National Junior Honor Society, and a Student Council member. I take great pride in these achievements. I have dyslexia, and this condition requires me to put forth more effort than my peers, but I don’t let it hold me back, I am currently third in my class.
I created an after-school powerlifting club during my sophomore year when football season was over. The greatest achievement the club had was improving a member’s bench press from 115 lbs. to 205 lbs before the club was discontinued at the start of summer break.
Playing college football has been a goal of mine that I felt was unlikely. I attend a very small school that has a poor win-loss record. We get little to no media attention, and I have not heard of a recruiter coming to a single game at our school. I have learned that playing college football can be an option if I continue to work for it.
