Personal Statement

Playing college football has always been one of the biggest goals in my life. My mom and dad both competed in high school sports. My dad continued to play football in college at North Dakota State University, so sports have always been a major part of my life, especially football. My parents are also teachers, so getting good grades and a good education has also played a major role in my life. I aspire to become an orthopedic surgeon after all my education is said and done. Whether I get the opportunity to play college football or not, my goal is to get a good education and a good career in something that I love to do.

I believe that I am a great candidate for any team, at any level, because I feel that I have great leadership qualities on and off the field. I believe that this shows on the field, as well as in the classroom and community. I have made the Honor Roll in every trimester of my high school career, and I am an active member in National Honor Society, as well as other school organizations such as Student Council, Yearbook Club, Snow Club, FBLA, and SADD/SMART. I believe that I am in all of these clubs not because of my brains or athletic abilities but because of my character. Teachers and advisors seek me out to help with various programs from dealing with little kids to Blood drives in the community. I try to be the kind of student teachers want to have, and the kind of player coaches want to coach. On the field, I am very coachable. I am also a very vocal player, and this helps me to be more of a leader.

In conclusion, I believe that I am capable of playing football at the next level. Yes, I may not be the biggest, the fastest, the strongest, but I am a leader. I am a dedicated student, and a very motivated athlete. I will do everything I can to play football at the college level.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
