Growing up as a kid I continually watched games whether it was the NFL or college football. I could immediately see the passion and dedication that the players possessed on the field, which made me fall in love with the game. Not only did I start playing football at a very young age, I play baseball and am also in track and field. On the football field, I can play quarterback, corner back, safety, and many of the other skill positions on both offensive and defensive sides of the ball. As a sophomore I lettered in track and field while contributing my speed to the relay teams in the 4 by 200 meter and 4 by 100 meter relays.
Academically, I have made honor roll both my freshman and sophomore year in high school and I’ll strive to continue that streak for my last two years. I believe it is important for me to challenge myself in high school with honors and AP courses along with enhancing my athletic ability on the field and in the weight room. I am still searching for the right area to study when I move on to college; however, whatever major I choose, I will pursue it wholeheartedly.
My sophomore year of football was summed up in one game when we lost to our rivals by less than a touchdown. Every time our offense came onto the field we drove the ball down the field for a score only to see the other team run one in under 30 seconds. I could see the disappointment on each player's face, but for some reason I was not upset that we had lost. In my mind, my team was doing something great and rallying my players on the field helped me understand that I was the person that they were looking to.
