Jared Pelishek '21 Recruiting Profile

Every passionate athlete has a goal to continue to play the sport they love in hopes their  journey will continue to the collegiate level.  My name is Jared Pelishek and my passion for football began at a very young age playing Pop Warner football in a small community in Wrightstown, Wisconsin. 

To me, football is more than a sport, it's a game that teaches you many valuable lessons.  It's not just playing the game.  It's learning to be a leader, an influential piece to a winning culture and most of all, the ability to be coachable and accept constructive criticism as others try to mold you into your greatest potential.

As a 3 sport athlete and working a part time job, I have developed the ability to manage my time and responsibilities to maintain a 3.23 GPA.  It has been challenging at times with commitments from many aspects of my life.  Through these experiences,  I have developed many personal skills that will impact me as I transition to my adult future.

Playing sports has not always been easy for me in regards to my size.  My freshman year I was 5'5" and was literally the smallest football player on the team.  I didn't let that obstacle interfere with my desire to continue to become a better player.  In spite of this obstacle, I  continued to work hard and kept my focus.  

2019 was a turning point for me as I grew to a height of 6'1 and 190 pounds.  My hard work and commitment along with the support of my parents was beginning to pay off as I earned myself a starting position in the playoff games on offense and defense.  

It was another successful season for our team that ended in level 4 playoffs and co-conference champs.  I am looking forward to my senior year and I am honored to have been selected as one of the team captains.    But most of all, I am looking forward to an opportunity to grow and develop new skills on and off the field.
