Moving several times in my young life has greatly influenced my personality. I have learned several important life lessons through these events. It has taught me how to appear appealing to others, how to establish strong relationships with new people, and how to understand other people's feelings and emotions. All of these lessons have taught me to become a fine leader on and off the hardwood. Basketball has always been a part of my soul. This game has taught me how to deal with the lows, but also how to remain humble and hungry while I am on top. The most important thing basketball has taught me is that hard work is undeniable. There is no way to shortcut it, there is no replacement for hard work.
Since kindergarten I have taken my education seriously. I realized education is a privilege. I am fortunate to have the opportunity to obtain an education, so I have not taken it for granted. I have never been satisfied with any grade other than an A. I have been able to reach that goal more times than not, and I intend to maintain my 4.0 GPA through the rest of my High School and college career.
I believe what separates me from the rest is my desire for greatness. I am willing to go through any terrain to achieve my goals. I will never be content with anything other than my entire effort on and off the court. I understand that path I am on will contain valleys and peaks, but no obstacle will destroy my yearning for prosperity.
