My name is Hayden Andersen, I began playing basketball in second grade and found an immediate love for the game. I have learned to hate losing, but I understand that it is important to grow as a person and also as a player. I strive to get better at every aspect of my life, from ball handling and shooting to pursuing better grades. I strive for perfection through hard work and dedication. Every injury, loss, and setback has made me stronger as a player, and capable of competing at the next level.
Throughout my years playing basketball, I have learned the people you play with make the game what it is. I have learned to lead very different personalities on the court, and I know that every person that stands to my right is as important as the person on my left. Playing basketball, as well as my parents, have taught me an amazing work ethic because things are only worth having if you have to work for them. Because of this I have learned how to succeed. I have won two state championships in cross country. I have won a national junior basketball championship. But I have not settled, and I want to get better on the court as well as in the classroom in my future.
