Jiarus Pullum '21 Recruiting Profile

I have many goals and aspirations as it pertains to college. A few of my college goals include graduating with a bachelor's degree in archeology or psychology, being able to experience the dorm life on campus, and I also hope to make an impact wherever I go. What makes me a good candidate for the team? I am a humble leader who will always take the opportunity and time to work or help someone. I have always learned that just because I am teaching someone doesn't mean I can't learn from them or I am done learning. Even though I may have more experience or knowledge in basketball than the person I’m helping, it does not mean I can’t learn from them. I stand out from other recruits because in our generation many kids don't know how to win and lose humbly, which is a lesson that everyone needs to learn and not just in sports but in life. Not only does this make me unique, but in the area of academics and athletics I will always try to do my best no matter what comes my way. I am never afraid to have someone point out my mistakes because I know in the end it will just make me a better student and athlete. When I get confused or am not doing the best, I have learned to always use my resources and never be afraid to ask questions.
