Jackson Garcia '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jackson Garcia. I am currently 5'11" and a combo guard in the graduating class of 2022. I live in Ardsley, New York and attend Ardsley High School.  My AAU club is Go Torey All Stars.   Prior to that I played for Sean Kilpatrick Elite.  As part of the 13U team with Sean Kilpatrick Elite, we won the Division II National Championship in Greensboro, North Carolina, and the following year, we made it to the final four of the Division I National Championship in Orlando, Florida.  I currently play for Ardsley High School.   I began playing on the varsity team as a freshman.  I play both point guard and shooting guard. 

Although I have great passion and love for the game of basketball, I know school work is extremely important. I have a 3.84 GPA and am placed in several honors and AP classes. Being a competitive basketball player since a young age has helped me learn to manage my time and always keep focused - both on my school work and basketball. When I am not at practice, workouts, or games, I know that I need to be studying and doing my homework so that I can continue to be the strong student that I am. I take every opportunity available to help improve my game. I try my best to get to every workout that I'm invited to, whether as early as 7am, or late into the evening. I have a great work ethic and take every workout and practice seriously. Some of the most outstanding attributes to my game are my jump shot, court vision and court IQ. I try my best to get at least 500 shots up each day. Although I am currently undersized, I'm a strong defender.  I am always active with hands in the passing lanes, allowing me to average at least 2 - 3 steals per game. I have begun a strength training program to further help my development. I truly enjoy every minute I get to play basketball and would love to continue my journey through college.
