Josephus Taylor '24 Recruiting Profile

Kobe Bryant, one of the greatest basketball players of all time, once said, "Everything negative, pressure, challenges, are all an opportunity for me to rise." I Josephus Taylor, is a determined individual that gives whatever I am passionate about my all. I've been playing basketball since I was seven years old. Everything started in my mother's two-bedroom apartment. 

Despite starting small, I've always wanted to play large. As the years passed, I continued to improve my basketball skills and eventually found myself on an AAU team. As a result of this, I believe that dreams can become a reality. My mother has always encouraged me to achieve both academically and personally. In which I’ve also worked hard in the classroom to keep a high GPA. 

She pushed me to go beyond my limits. I want to attend a college where I will succeed both in the classroom and on the basketball court. I want to keep learning and improving as a whole, and I aspire to be an outstanding example for individuals in my community. Last but not least, make my mama proud!
