I’m Shakim Carr. I was born In Brooklyn, New York. I happened upon lacrosse when my mom took us to see a relative try out. Lacrosse changed my life . It has helped me through so many challenges I have faced. I instantly fell in love when I picked up the stick. Lacrosse makes me feel unstoppable and has made me determined to succeed in any way possible . I’ve been playing lacrosse since the age of 7 and have not stopped. I play lacrosse as much as possible because I want to be the best and successful at it! Every practice and every game I go out and give it my best! Every time I hear the whistle blow it sparks the hunger inside of me, the hunger for success. Success is key on and off the field, through everything I do. Lacrosse is the best!
