Growing up, my father always encouraged me to be athletic and maintain a healthy lifestyle as he was very passionate about sports as well. Throughout my journey of athleticism, I discovered my passion for basketball at a very young age. I played throughout my entire childhood on teams both in and outside of school. Once I got to highschool, I realized that their basketball league didn’t truly meet my standards, and that I wouldn’t be able to play as seriously and competitively as I wished to. I spoke with my family who are my biggest supporters, and transferred to Xavarian highschool where I was offered a spot on the basketball team. One of my trainers suggested Xavarian in particular because the league is more competitive, and they have a great coaching staff. Aside from me playing on the team, I train consistently on a daily basis, multiple times a day independently or with my father who coaches me as I am very dedicated and committed to my play. I strive to always give my best performance and aim to be a great and reliable teammate. I set goals to be the best possible version of myself athletically and academically, and I won’t stop until I accomplish those goals. When I face certain struggles, I like to shift my perspective and look at the situation as a challenge that I can overcome, and therefore learn and prosper from. I am also very good with time management, which allows me to balance my academics with my athletics because being an educated student is important to my values as well.
