Golf is a huge part of my life. When I'm not on the course, I am thinking about my swing and improving my putting stroke. It’s a sport that requires deep thought and concentration. Focus is the key. Golf enables me to challenge myself and I always set a goal for my round. I love the feeling of improvement and accomplishment when I shoot a great round.

College golf will foster my competitive abilities, both as an individual, and as a member of a team. As the captain of my high school golf team, I felt a responsibility to my team to always perform my best. When we lose a match, encouragement and positive attitude is important to come back to the next match with confidence. Golf allows me to compete with myself because I can always strive for one more birdie than the last round.
