Michael Cleary '17 Recruiting Profile

Currently I am a 6'0' 160 point guard and shooting guard senior at Middletown High school in Middletown New York class of 2017. I have been playing basketball since the 8th grade and I have love and passion for the sport. I currently am averaging around 16 PPG 8 APG 6 RPG 2 SPG however I plan on improving my overall game to raise each and every one of those statistics.I am currently ranked No.6 in New york state for my class by Scoutfocus. I have a very high IQ for the game of basketball when it comes to what needs to be done in order to win, whether it is feeding my hot teammate, taking over the game, or locking down the best player on the opposite team, I am going to do what it takes to win. I take major pride in winning with my team and as a leader and floor general I can always be counted on to do what it takes for my team to be successful and happy.

     I hold a 3.5 or 90 GPA in High school and I have already completed 90% of NCAA core academic requirements and I’m currently taking College AP Courses now and in my senior year. My activities off the court include my active involvement in Youth in Government, Middletown Athletes Club, and also playing varsity lacrosse. I am also active in my community with volunteering at the food pantry at my local church. Also I volunteer to work with the younger basketball players at various basketball camps in my area.
