Christopher Herrera '23 Recruiting Profile

I am currently a sophomore and captain of the basketball team at SUNY Ulster (NJCAA Division II JUCO).   I am a shooting guard/point guard  and averaged 14ppg, 8rpg, 3apg on nearly 50/40/90 shooting splits.   To me basketball is not just a sport. It is my life's passion!  I am the third out four children in my family.  Both my parents and older brothers are college educated. My plan is to continue to improve my game of basketball while I also work to obtain a college degree, just like the rest of my family.  I know great things in life do not come easy, which is why I continue to work harder than anyone on my team.    I practice basketball year-round including my off months.  Basketball will never be a job for me.  It is my passion and a way of life.
