Showcase evaluation
"Andrew Fellus, a 5'10 165lb 2013 PG of Herricks High school (NY), may not look the part, but boy does he play the part. Arguably the best shooter at any of our events this spring. He has a complete game. We would like to see him improve his athleticism and handle a bit to take the next step in his development but he can definitiely be a full time point guard for any team. "By spreading the floor with my jumpshot my goal is to be the best possible point guard I can and to make my team around me better."
My goals and dreams are to play basketball in a competetive conference (preferably division 1 or 2) while recieving the best possible education that I can
Andrew Fellus, 5'10 (still growing) , 165lbs, point guard. Andrew Fellus has been on his high school varsity team since he was a freshman. At first, coach was a bit scared to let Andrew do what he wanted but that eventaully changed. During his freshman year, coach kinsella of herricks gained trust in his young point guard to lead his team with the ball in his hands. Herricks made the playoffs for the first time in 15 years with Fellus as the point guard. In his sophmore year, he lead his team in scoring with 19 points while also leading his team in assists with 6 per game. He recieved all conference, all county and section 8 second team all star. In his junior year Andrew lead his team averaging 22.5 points per game scoring a total of 400 while dishing out 7 assists per game. With Andrew at the point guard Herricks has its best record in its school history. He ends this year with a total of 800 points and should easily break 1000 next year. During the year Andrew spends his time with his trainers, Danny Gimpel, John Randazzo, and John Cantwell as he is always trying to improve his game. Andrew is a three point "specialist" and loves shooting the three. When any coach plays against Andrew it is always known that he is "the shooter" and the defender plays right up on him. However, when needed Andrew attacks the basket hard using his crafty finishes. Unselfishly, He is always trying to look for his teamates or he would be averaging more. In the classroom Andrew has a about a 3.2 gpa and has yet to take sat/act. Andrew has been playing AAU basketball since he was in 4th grade visiting a "national tournament" every year since he has started. His most successful run was when his team, "the rising stars," placed 3rd in the nation in Memphis, Tennessee. Andrew has been through a lot and knows the game of basketball very well. He has a very high basketball IQ and knows what to do with the ball when it is in his hand. Andrew is looking for any division school to play basketball but preferably would rather end up at a d2 or a d1.
