I am an only child so growing up my parents put me into countless activities and sports to keep me busy and to help me make friends. When they put me in soccer at four years old I found something that felt right. At the time I didn't know how much I would truly learn and the memories I would make from playing soccer. I have found some of my best friends and I have learned some of the toughest lessons through soccer and my coaches. Soccer has taught me that it is not enough to just want something and hope that it comes to you. If something is important to you then you will work for it and use others around you to help push you and most importantly take self ownership to push yourself and take accountability if you something doesn't go your way. I have pushed myself to use these lessons to become a better athlete and a better person. I hope to take this skill and other skills I have learned to achieve my future academic and athletic collegiate goals. I have found a love for physical therapy because helping people get over an injury takes physical effort, mental determination and faith. All of these I feel I have been able to learn through soccer. I want to help others using what I know. I know soccer, I know determination and I have faith. I will work hard to continue my love for soccer in college and I will use its lessons to help me achieve a career as a physical therapist.
