Having been born in Connecticut, and enjoying both American and Canadian citizenship, my goal is to return to the USA to play collegiate basketball. I plan on studying Kinesiology or Athletic Therapy and hope to pursue a career as an Athletic Therapist / Physiotherapist or high school Physical Education teacher. Most people would describe me as competitive, confident, and coachable. I pride myself on my commitment to the sport of basketball, and my desire to constantly learn and develop as a player. As a multi-sport athlete, I have learned how to manage my time and make sacrifices in order to be the best possible version of myself.
I have been playing basketball for the past 12 years at the highest level and on the best travel teams that Ontario has to offer. In 2014, my team won the Ontario Basketball Championships, where I was selected as the Player of the Game. That summer, I was selected to participate in the Basketball Ontario’s Talent Identification Program and also won the 3-on-3 Ontario Basketball Championships. I was also honored to receive the Alliance of Black Educators Award for Athletic Excellence in my school district. In 2015, my team took part in the NYBL, where I was noted as a "Top Performer" and an Honorable Mention on the "All Session Team" in the 2021 class by Buckeye Prep. I was also identified as "a long and versatile shooting specialist with a tremendous upside" by the media scouts at the John Lucas camp in 2015. Furthermore, I was a top-scorer in the ABS League in Canada and was selected as a starting All Star for the ABS All Star game that year. In 2016, my team was again the top-ranked team in Canada, opting to play again in the NYBL throughout the Northeast USA against other top AAU Teams. As a high school student, I have played basketball in the Ontario Scholastic Basketball Association League as well as the National Prep Association League in Canada. As a freshman, I played on the Prep team at Bill Crothers SS, a high school for high-performance athletes. Upon transferring to Thornlea SS in my Sophmore year, my team won the YRAA Championships. During this past season, my high school team won the "Take It to the Lake" tournament in Cleveland, OH and I have participated in both the Adidas Gauntlet and Under Armour Proving Ground leagues.
I know that I have the commitment, dedication, and discipline to play at the NCAA level! I can't wait to see what the future holds as I continue to put in the necessary focus and hard work, both on and off the court!
