I am a natural athlete and have always loved playing sports, especially basketball. My first sports were basketball, soccer, football and t-ball at the age of three. By the time I was ten years old, basketball was the only sport I wanted to play and I was committed to playing it well and often. My parents have always supported my desire to play which is why they invested in sports camps, skills camps, personal training and AAU.
My familial support is a tremendous influence in my life. Specifically, because my basketball career to date has not been easy. Because of my height, I have not yet played on a school team. I run faster, block harder and shoot better than most guys trying out each year. Yet, I have not had an opportunity to play for school. I know my dream to play basketball in college is not dead. I know how smart I am, how good I am, how hard I work and how badly I want it. So, I don’t give up. I continue to try out and I continue to love the game of basketball. I am in the gym six-days each week playing basketball and strength training. My parents tell me often that what is meant for me will not pass me by. I believe that God indeed has a plan for my life and that plan includes the game of basketball in some way, shape or form.
I was blessed with the opportunity to play college basketball at Montreat College for two years. It was a dream come true to play college basketball and I learned a lot during my time there. After my second season, I realized that Montreat was no longer where I was supposed to be. I am currently looking for a new school to call home
