Jesse Reaves '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jesse Reaves, III and I am the only child of Jesse and Felicia Reaves.  I live in Durham, North Carolina and I am a rising Senior at Northern High School (Northern Knights).  I currently have 3.89 GPA and I take some honors courses.  I started playing basketball when I was approximately three years old and I have a great love for the sport.  I started playing Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) around the 4th grade and have continued to play every year.  I enjoy playing basketball because it is fun, I get to be a part of a team and I am competitive.  I was the team captain of the Northern High School JV basketball team my freshman year. I have been playing Varsity since my sophomore year and became a starter.  When I am on the court playing basketball, I feel confident because even though my team does not always win, I know that I have given it my best effort.  I believe that I encompass my high school’s vision statement of “acquire Knowledge, make No excuses, possess Integrity, Graduate on time, meet High expectations, be a Team player, and achieve Success in all areas (KNIGHTS).”  As a result of my long history with the sport of basketball, I would love to have the opportunity to play college basketball.  My plan is to be a student athlete and major in Information Technology. My hobbies include listening to and playing music (keyboard and drums). I love spending time with my family and playing video games.
