What makes me a good candidate is me being determined to get better, I have good sportsmanship and a positive attitude. I also know how to be a team player on and off the court. I am willing to go above and beyond expectations to achieve success. What makes me different from other recruits is I'm hardworking, determined to succeed in life as well as on the court. I'm ambidextrous on the court. I know how to space and read the floor. I also play defense just as strong if not stronger than offense. I know how to talk on the floor, move with and without the ball, set picks and respond to picks being set. I also know how to penetrate and get to the basket. I also know how to get to the free throw line, and I know how to crash boards. I try to work on my game 2 hours a day, 5 days a week. As for academics, I'm a freshman in high school. Therefore, my core classes for this year are Earth and Environmental Science, English I, and Foundations of Math. My second semester classes will be World History Honors and Math I.
I was always told anything worth having is worth working for and anything I want in life I must work for it. I became interested in basketball when I was only five years old. When I was five years old, I played 9U recreational basketball. I have learned that no matter who I am going against I need to give 110 percent every time I step on the court. My academic goals for high school and college is to maintain a grade average of at least an 85% or higher. I understand that to get where I want to be in my basketball career, I have to do things that others are not willing to do. My unique characteristics are that I am smart, tough, and caring.
