Personal Statement

Hello, my name is Scott Pora. I live in a small town called Greely, Ontario. I have 3 siblings, including two sisters and a brother. All of my siblings are now in University/College. My main position is point guard while my secondary is shooting guard. I have been playing basketball ever since I was 5 years old.

I am really considering playing University/College basketball once I'm done high school. It has been my dream ever since I was very young. Basketball has been a sport I loved for a long time and is my dream to play during my post-secondary studies. I'm ready to do whatever it takes to make my dream, a reality.

My coaches in the past viewed me as a contributor and leader. I always want to be a leader on each and every team I was on. Not just for Basketball but for other sports as well. My coaches also noted my work ethic. They believe that I am one of the hardest-working players. I always put 110% into my work to become a better athlete and student. I have always believed in success by putting the hard work in. One of my role models is Kobe Bryant because of his hard work and dedication on and off the court. Kobe Bryant, during his basketball career, was remembered as being the hardest working player in the league. I wanna play just like Kobe Bryant when I grow up.

I love the game of Basketball. The possibility of being able to play during a University / College would be a dream of mine.  I'm looking forward to the opportunities Basketball can bring to me in the future!

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
