Hello, my name is Roderick Longs Jr, and I attend Allen High School. I have been playing basketball since I was 9 years old. Ever since I was in 7th grade, I have aspired to play at the collegiate level and eventually the professional level as well. I have strong ball handling skills, a consistent three point shot, and a high basketball IQ. I am a team leader and try to lead by example while also encouraging my teammates. I am very coachable, I’m a competitor and will do whatever it takes for my team to win. I also strive to be one of the hardest working players for any team I am apart of.
Off the court, I study hard and maintain a high GPA. I take school very seriously as in college I look to major in Pre-Med, and eventually become a doctor. I’m a very respectful and responsible person, I also love to help others. I volunteer at local community services as well.
I want to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom and on the basketball court. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible. I hope to not only become a great basketball player, but also become a positive role model that everyone can look up to.
