One of my favorite moments of my athletic career was helping bring my school to their first state appearance since moving up a division. That was my junior season, where I was also voted All League 2nd Team. However, one of the most impactful times of my basketball life was my sophomore year. This was my first year on varsity and I started the season playing a few minutes per game. This motivated me to work my tail off in practice each day, and as time went by I would begin playing more and even started my first varsity game. I can recall a specific moment at a practice the day after I had a rough game that season, where I looked my coach in the eyes and told him "I want it coach. I don't want you to hold back on me." That moment inspires me to compete every day and have an open mindset to any and all constructive criticism.
I believe one of the biggest things I can bring to a program is my work ethic, I don't feel satisfied doing merely what everyone else is doing.
As for my personal life: my mom was born in the Netherlands, my dad was born in Denmark, and I was born in South Africa. We moved here from Turkey. Academically, I want to go into some form of business.
