College is another opportunity to be a better version of myself in a better environment. I've experienced nearly every bad and traumatic thing that can happen to a human being. The more that happened to me throughout my life, the more fuel that was given to my flame to be a better version of myself each and every day. I strive to continue too not necessarily be better than anyone but to be better than the me yesterday, when it comes to the classroom, weight room and the basketball court. Everyone has been through hard times in life, so talking about my trauma in my personal statement is not ideal. But trauma is something in my life that can't be overlooked. It surely has brought me down and almost made me give up multiple times, but as stated before it also is the reason why i strive to be the best I can. The best big brother, the best student, the best son, the best teammate, the best player to a coach, the best friend or partner. Again, not the best in the world, but the best that I can be.
