Ryan Gillis Swing...Personal Statement
Hi I’m Ryan Gillis, a grade 12 student at Bishop Carroll High School in Calgary, Alberta. I attend a self directed high school which has allowed me to excel in my academics, develop strong time management skills, and has given me the flexibility to play the sports I love.
I enjoy hockey and have played at an elite AA/AAA level where I’ve developed a strong work ethic in a team environment.
I like hockey, but my passion is for golf. My Grandpa gave me my first set of clubs when I was 3 years old. I love to practice and have been playing in tournaments for the past 4 years. I love competition whether it is against my fellow competitors or against myself. It is my dream to play at the next level.
