troy nelson '16 Recruiting Profile

My name is Troy Nelson, and I live in Chula Vista, California. I have been playing golf for only 3 years, and I have had a passion for it from the first second I held a club. I believe I am unique because of the level I'm at with so little experience. In my 3 years of high school golf I have made 1st, and 2nd team all-conference, and was also named a Union Tribune scholar athlete. I enjoy to challenge myself not only on the course but also in the classroom where I have been enrolled in AP and honors classes since my junior year. My current high school GPA is a 3.0, but in my current year my average is just below a 4.0. My goals for college are to major in either business or engineering, and also to play golf at the collegiate level. What makes me a good candidate for any college team is my great attitude, my connection with my teammates and my coaches, and also my work ethic. I am ready and willing to give everything I have, and spend all the time that is necessary to perform at this high level.
