Since I have been in high school, it has been my aspiration to play golf one day at the college level. I now have this chance and with the skill set I am pushing forward to achieve that goal. Playing college golf will be an awesome opportunity and a stepping stone to who I want to be as a player and person. Growing up I have been taught to be an all around player, that once you figure out how to hit the ball, it's all about the shoulders up. I have worked hard on the mental side of the game and it has begun to pay off. I have recently pushed through a barrier to move from shooting in the upper 70's to par and am pushing now to shoot in the 60's consistently. I have worked my handicap down to a 2 and am driving to get it to lower.
What makes me stand out is my understanding of the game. I spend time doing research on the game, from the newest products and tips to reading books on the psychology of golf. I have found that in order to continue to get better, I have to stay on top of what is keeping me from being the best that I can be and then working through that barrier. I am strong in academics, athleticism, and character, I know that I am ready to play at the college level. I am later than most kids at this level looking into schools, but I know that I am a sleeper and have yet to see my best days of golf. I will be someone that a coach would be proud to have represent them and their school and I am someone who will never be complacent and always be striving to be the best I can be for the school, team, coach and student body that I get the opportunity to represent.

Proceeded to play in the Optimist International Championships and played three forgettable rounds. I mark this event as a turning point in my mental game. What I learned mentally about what was holding me back will always be worth the frustration I felt that week with my game. since this event my scores have dropped and I have grasped by mental side of the game and now control it instead of allowing it to control me.
July 2015 - Won the Bridgemill Athletic Clubs Junior Championship with a final round 72.
Oct 2015 - finished second at the Rolling Red Tour Championship with a score of 74. Mainly used as an opportunity to keep improving during the fall since the High School season in Georgia is in the spring.
Dec 2015 was awarded the Ed Liebman Memorial Scholarship for Top Junior Golfer in the Bridgemill Athletic Club Junior Academy. The BACJA has a membership of 170 juniors and is led by former LPGA professional Denise Killeen. This is an award that was a milestone set as a freshman.
