My name is Blaze Akana, I'm 15 years old, 5'9, 120 lbs, and attending Kamehameha Schoools Kapalama in Honolulu, Hawaii. I made it on the Varsity 1 golf team as freshman.
It was not until 12 years old when I played golf competitively. I won the US Kids Golf player of the year in the 13-14 age division. I also took player of the year in the 13-14 age division in Junior Golf Association. I am now competing in the 15-18 age division in Junior Golf Association and I placed first in one tournament and tied for 1st in another, so far. I was top 10 during the Interscholastic League of Hawaii season and made the 2nd Team All Conference. I tied for 11th place in the Hawaii High School Athletic Association State Championship this year.
I've managed to shave off strokes in my golf game from last year. And I'm continuously striving to progress. My collegiate goal is to attend a Division 1 college to play golf as well as getting a good education.
