My name is Kevin McGough and I am a Senior at Westwood High School. I hope to play highly NCAA golf at a highly competitive college or university with strong academics. I hope to achieve this goal by improving my golf ability each day while still maintaining a high GPA. I feel like I have what it takes to be a college athlete, and I am ready to tackle any obstacles that come in my way. I am a two sport varsity athlete. Besides being a two-year golf captain, I also play ice hockey, and was named captain of the hockey team for this for my junior year and upcoming senior year. Ultimately, by playing two varsity sports, I have been able to learn important life lessons and become the best version of my self, despite a very occupied schedule.
I have truly enjoyed my high school golf experience thus far. AI have been working hard to get the most out of every aspect of the high school athletic experience. Winning matches as well as building relationships with my teammates has been an experience that is irreplaceable, and that is something that I hope to carry into my college career. The last two seasons I have been honored to be named a Boston Globe Tri-Valley League All Star. I was elected captain of the golf team my junior and upcoming senior year. I hope to attend a college that challenges me each day, and helps me achieve my goals, on and off the course.
