I started playing golf in the summer of seventh grade year and fell in love with it immediately. Some of my friends had invited me to go play with them, I gave it a shot and I am so thankful I did. I have learned a lot about myself from playing golf especially since I have always played fast paced sports like soccer, basketball, and football. Golf is very different than all those sports and has really tested me and challenged my patience, which has helped me with many other aspects in my life. Golf is also a very humbling sport and that is what I truly love about it, because just when you think you have the game figured out it hits you right in the mouth and you realize you can never perfect the game. I always strive to get good grades in the classroom and always give my best effort. My goal is to finish high school with a 3.7 GPA or higher. My sophomore year I got beat out of my spot and missed a few varsity tournaments, but after missing those tournaments and being even more motivated I ended up coming back and regained my spot and went on to play at conference, districts, sectionals, and state. I would say the one thing that makes me different than any other player is the fact that I do not settle for average. There may be other players that are more talented than me but it is hard to find anyone as motivated and relentless as myself.
