Personal Statement

Hello, my name is Tanner Cromwell and I am an All-State golfer from Anaconda, Montana! I started golfing a year and a half ago because my mom made me and I am happy she did. I have improved more than 35 strokes in the last year in tournament scores and the Montana golf weather is typically not ideal but my best tournament score of the season was a 74. I made All-State, All-Conference in the state of Montana this year and I have won three tournaments this year with placing in the top ten in every tournament I have played in. I am a 3.0 handicap and practice or play every single day. I have fallen in love with the process of working at my swing and seeing improvements day in and day out. I love school and am top of my class rankings and I am class president, HOSA vice president, speech and debate team captian, member of NHS, member of ALA, BPA, and Sources of Strength. Besides golf I play varsity baseball and basketball and I love the outdoors and skiing. I would make a great member of your golf team because I am disciplined, dedicated, a hard worker, and a great student. I work every day with my high school coaches on my swing and here is a link to some swings from recent.

Took solo second of 69. Very wet and cold day. Rain came down really hard for a while, played pretty solid for the weather with an 81(43/38). Lost to a former state champ by 2 for first.

Took T1 and took first in a scorecard playoff, 50 player tournament. Shot 85/76. First day was cold and snowy and was the first time I have been on grass this season. Second day went even on the back 9 with 4 birdies in the last 8 holes and 3 in a row to end the round. Content with how I played for the conditions of the course and the weather. Just a couple bad shots caused some bad holes.

Took 3rd of 17, won a 3 person playoff in 3 holes, missed a couple key fairways and was rolling putts good just leaving them on the lip. Wind picked up at the end, was 4 over through 11 and ended 12 over, tough pins to access to have good putts at birdie. Just had a couple blow up holes that killed me at the end.

Placed 10th out of 104 people, shot 76(+5) first day with 28 putts, second day shot 80 with 30+ mph winds the entire round with 31 putts. Had tough competition, pretty happy with results.

Yes. Advanced Biology, Chemistry, Spanish ll, Anatomy, Honors Junior's English, Honors American History, Pre-Calc, Statistics, Intro into health careers, Medical Terminology.

Are you in AP/IB classes?

Yes. My school does not offer AP classes but does offer DC(dual credit) classes that we can obtain college credit through. I also got accepted into the University of Montana Tech's CNA program so I am taking classes to complete that. Other than the CNA program I have/am taken Advanced Biology 101, Honors American History, Intro into health careers, and I’m currently taking Medical Terminology though Montana Tech University.
