When I started playing golf, I knew that I loved the game. I originally played hockey and I felt as if a golf swing was just like a slap shot. I started playing golf often at the age of ten and went on to practice every day for the next four years.
I now go to Chaminade High School, an all boys Catholic school located in Mineola, New York. Though the team has a spring season making it tough to have a good swing coming off of the winter, I have had continuous success on the team. After a great first year on Varsity Golf as a freshman, making the 1st All-League team and winning the league championship as a team, I became the one seed as a sophomore and repeated the same great season I had as a freshman. Going into junior year, I would like to have the same success and also lower my scoring average. My tournament play has gotten better each year of experience, such as my T10 finish at an AJGA (CBS Sports Preview at Forsgate). I am looking to keep getting top tens in AJGAs and bring me more success in the future.
I am becoming more confident in my golf swing as the year goes on and I am looking for a 37 or below scoring average. I am attempting to achieve a 89.5 average or above at Chaminade High School in my junior year. I am hopeful that this will lead me to a academically strong college with a great golf program.
