George Chesna Jr '21 Recruiting Profile

Dear Coaches,

My name is George Chesna, a 2021 graduate from Corcoran High School in Syracuse, NY. I am a CNY Junior PGA Tour member that would love to play for school has my academic interests and of course, Men's Golf.

On the course, I have learned what it takes to be a student of the game. I have been playing golf now for the last 3 years, 2 years competitively on the Jr. PGA Tour. In 2019 I won the Syracuse Young Mens Mayor Cup for Syracuse, New York. When starting Jr. PGA I did it just to get experience my first year and play more, I ended 56th out of 70 players in the 13-15 division. My second year I dedicated myself Improving my score and ranking, I ended up being put in the 16-18 division this previous summer in 2020, I ended the season with shooting a 82 at Timber Banks Golf Course,  and an 83 at Links at Erie Village, which were my best scores this year. I placed 17th in the division out of 64 kids, and was invited to the Jr. PGA Tour Championship at Turning Stone Casino and ended 19th. My goal in college is to improve my scoring average by staying consistently in the low 80's and breaking into the high 70’s. Developing more as a player on the fundamental and strategic aspect of the game. I have really fallen in love with this game and would love  to go to NCAA D1, D2 college or any college that will push/guide me in the right direction.
