Hello, my name is Shawn Benson, I am an upcoming senior attending West Carteret High School in Morehead City, NC. I began playing golf halfway through my freshman year because my parents really wanted me to play and my good friend was playing as well. After that year, I was just hooked and really wanted to start playing competitively.
I have lived in 3 different states across the country and I am used to adapting and meeting new people. I love playing the guitar and watching movies with my brother in my free time.
In my short golfing career, I have made so much progress in my golf game going from shooting 144 at Reedy Creek Golf Course at 3A East Regionals my freshman year to shooting a 78 at Willow Springs Country Club my junior year during regionals (sophomore year cancelled due to COVID). I feel like I would be the golfer you're looking for because I am a quick learner and just love playing golf.

Our school was shut down for a couple of weeks and during this time, I volunteered with our church and my family to help others in need through yard clean up and gutting homes from the molding drywall.
