Hey, my name is Eli. I started playing golf back in 2020 during covid. I had always wanted to play and what better time to start than when all you can do is play golf. So, I practiced and played and in 2021 I played on my school team for the first time and continued to grow and get better. Then, this past year I played and got even better and was able to play in a tough competitive district tournament. After school got out, I started my first year of competition with the Mid-South Golf Series. I played well and had a couple of 3rd-place finishes and a 2nd-place finish. Now, I’m currently in the summer before Senior year and I’m playing once more on the Midsouth golf series and I’ve got my handicap down to an 8. I’m great in the classroom maintaining a 3.61 GPA with work and golf. I’m top 10 in the class of 24 at my school. I train with ex-pro John Campbell and with the head pro at Graymere Country Club. I’m working on my game almost every day getting better. I’m a great teammate and always put my team second. I’m a man of Faith and I put God first in every aspect of my life even golf. I’m a hard worker and will do whatever I have to to improve my golf game. Since playing in the Saddle Creek Open in April, I have cut my scores down tremendously due to my work on the course every day.
This year in my high school golf season, Our team finished 2nd in our District behind Summertown. When we went to Regionals at Henry Horton, I shot an 84! I had the 4th lowest score in the tournament. My score clinched our team's spot in 1st place at Regionals and allowed us to go to the TN State Championships for the first time in school history.
