I picked up my Fathers Golf clubs about 4yrs ago. From that point forward I have put more and more time into understanding my swing and how to improve and score better. Eventually it became obvious that even though I was blessed enough to play both Varsity baseball and golf in 2020 for my high school in Caddo Mills, TX. it was time put down my baseball bat and concentrated on golf full time. After a few Lessons, my scores have improved quickly. 2019 saw my average score in the upper 80's; 2021 those scores came down into the Mid to upper 70's and now in 2022 I am seeing Low to Mid 70's with a few rounds below Par. Recently carded a 65 which is now my low round.
Being the #1 golfer on our Varsity Golf Team in 2020 our team took 1st in district led by my 2nd place finish - 6 over 78. In 2021 our team placed 2nd at District and I was able to take the individual championship. We qualified for Regionals where I placed 7th and was named to the All-Region Team.
Goal for 2022 is to improve on my individual scoring average while working with my team mates to improve together and win District as well as place at Regionals.
Personal goal would be to qualify for State this year.
Although I started golfing late, I have enjoyed the journey and wish to earn the opportunity to join a College Team and continue that journey. Working with others at the collegiate level to improve and compete at some of the highest levels is something I am looking forward to.
