As a child I struggled with finding the sport that I had a burning desire to give all my time and effort into. Then after watching my cousin play at an elite level in volleyball, I was immediately drawn into the intensity of the game. At the age of twelve I began playing volleyball and I was naturally able to run the court, read the ball and anticipate the plays. I rapidly grew as an athlete and a leader, and began to love the sport even more as I started to compete with one of the top clubs in Dallas. When on the court there is no better feeling then getting that great save or the kill that causes the crowd to go wild. It's exhilarating when your team comes together as one, and plays organized and fluidly. The comradery and friendships I have made over the past years has created deep and true relationships.
The highlight so far of my high school career has been being the captain and leading Junior Varsity my freshman year to a nearly undefeated season. My goal is to graduate in the top ten percent of my class, and to graduate distinguished with honors. I love and have always had a desire to help people who are in need. My long term goal is to be in the medical field, so I am interested in colleges that offer biology and pre-med programs.
