"Resolve never to quit, never to give up, no matter what the situation" - Jack Nicklaus. These are words I try to live by. I started the game of golf late in comparison to many of the golfers I compete with. Going in to my Freshman year I decided to take up the game of golf, and I haven't looked back. I love this game and it has taught me so many valuable lessons... responsibility, perseverance, resilience, dedication, and respect to name a few.
I have to be a determined, goal oriented individual to make up for getting a late start. Some would say my goals are unattainable. I simply refuse to believe that is the case. After High School my goal is to attend a college that will enrich me academically and allow me to truly compete in the game that I love.
I feel that humility, discipline, dedication, and an extraordinary work ethic will allow me to reach that goal. I try to lead by example and am an asset to my golf team. I am coachable and know that perfection, in this game, is impossible to achieve but always something to strive for.
I know that I have will have to improve my game to make my goals realities. What I can commit to, is that I will put forth all of the effort and work necessary to make this happen. I will succeed!
