Peter Godley '24 Recruiting Profile

College hockey has always been a dream of mine. Being able to play the sport I have dedicated myself to, and to get a quality education at the same time has been my motivation through my minor hockey career. I take pride in my hockey sense, skating, puck handling abilities, adaptability to new situations, and 200ft game. I consider myself a very cerebral player, often making the unselfish play so that the team can succeed. I can fit into any spot on a roster, as I bring elements of goal scoring, playmaking, solid defending, and compete to the table. I am also a very disciplined player, as I believe winning is more important and more satisfying than keeping personal vendettas. 

Keeping my grades high is also a key goal of mine. I have maintained honours with distinction for all of my high school years, whilst moving between different schools and districts as required by some of the teams I have played for. I dealt with an ACL and Meniscus tear at the end of 2022, and was able to recover and get back on the ice in the 1% of recovery times. I also take pride in my time management skills, as I have a lot on my plate between hockey, school, physiotherapy, dryland sessions, and family and friends. Outside of hockey I enjoy playing other sports with my friends, like volleyball, basketball, tennis, ping pong, football, soccer, badminton, or golf, along with some video games when I have the spare time.
