I consider myself a well-rounded person but hockey is a passion of mine and a path I want to pursue in life. I began to skate at the age of three at the local hockey program, played AA hockey by the age of seven and AAA hockey at the age of twelve. I currently play for the Chicago Mission and I am working hard to improve my skills and game at the next level. I attend Friedrich Von Steuben Metropolitan Science Center High School in Chicago. Having a busy schedule of three practices a week and games/tournaments on the weekends is tough, but I know time management and work ethic is the key to being successful in all aspects of life . I also do my best to give back to my community by volunteering in events for Friends of Hiawatha Park, my local Chicago Park District program and within the 38th Ward where I live in Chicago. Recently, I created a campaign to collect food for the local food shelter in my area.
Balancing High School, a AAA hockey schedule, family and friends is challenging, however the goal of attending a prestigious university and the opportunity to play hockey at that level has always been my dream and a challenge I am up for.
