Hockey is my passion and my savior. I began playing at 9 years old. I moved quickly from in-house, to Geneva Cyclones NWHL, and then Geneva Cyclones NIHL. My final year with the cyclones we won the NIHL Midget championship. I then decided to move to high school hockey and began my JV career (current) with the Joliet Catholic Academy Hillmen Hockey team. I did this to continue my career and help my mother who is a single mom who has to foot the bill for my hockey career. I am currently the leading scorer on my JV team.
As I said, hockey is my passion. I love the thrill of the game, the pride and camaraderie of the team, and the responsibility it has taught me. I say its also my savior because as a young child I was shy, afraid to speak my mind, and afraid to stand up for myself. Hockey has helped me overcome all that and more. I don't know what I would do if I couldn't play. My dream is to play in college and maybe help my mom with tuition if I can get a scholarship. Thank you for your consideration.
