Aidan Rybacki '23 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Aidan Rybacki. For the past decade, I have been committed to being the best possible hockey player that I could be. From the beginning, the ability to play college hockey was a dream of mine.  With my heart set on that dream, I willingly sacrificed most of my social life during my childhood, later learning to find a balance between hockey and friends as I matured. That said, even with my strong commitment to hockey, education has always been my first commitment. Throughout my entire school career, I have earned all A's in every class with the exception of one B+ in honors chemistry, made the high honor roll, and been accepted into my school's chapter of the National Honor Society.  I take great pride in everything I do; when I look back I always want to be able to say I am proud of my work. I have carried this mindset throughout my hockey career. This mindset, which also applies off the ice, has allowed me to win numerous league championships, compete at the highest level my whole career, and develop the characteristics that eventually got me named captain of my high school hockey team. I have been a student of the game my whole life, however, as of late I have students of my own. I have recently started coaching young goaltenders, offering them ten years of high-level hockey knowledge. I have found this experience to be beneficial to my own game, as correcting my students' mistakes has made me more aware of my own. I developed in the past and I continue to develop today. As I enter this new era of my life, I wish to continue to develop as a scholar, an athlete, and an overall person.
