My name is William Daniel and I’m from Saint-Jerome, Quebec. a little town near Montreal. I played at Hoosac School in upstate New York last year and I am playing there this season as well. I’m 185 pounds and 6 feet tall. I’m a lefty center that can control the puck, bring the puck to the net and play physically. I can also play left and right wing since I was playing as a winger before last year. I play hockey because I like the intensity of that sport, I like to compete and the main reason why I play that sports is that I have so much fun playing it, even when it's hard or there's adversity I find a way to have fun playing it. I'm an ambitious guy, I left my mom and dad’s house at 16 years old to go to another country and have the chance to play hockey at a good level and have a good education. I have been persevering a lot in the last year to break the language barrier because I'm a French-Canadian. I choose to come play in the United States since my goal is to play college hockey and be a successful person in life by getting the best education possible. I want to study in the business and marketing area. Even if school might not be as fun as hockey for a guy of my age I know that school is very important and that I might have to sacrifice a lot of stuff and time for both school and hockey.
I am a two-time winner of the Quebec province championship, in 2013-2014(Bantam AAA) and 2014- 2015(Midget Espoir) and I also won the Holt conference championship last year. I had some good times in the past year but I also had some bad times in which I had to work very hard and overcome a lot of adversity. In both cases I learned as a person and as a hockey player and developed into the person and the hockey player that I am today. Even if I learned a lot in hockey I know that I still have a lot to learn. I am a funny guy but I know when it’s time to be serious. I’m not the type of guy who leads by talking loud and scream at my teammates. I’m more the type of friendly leader that is going to help others out and lead by example both on and off the ice.
